Fork In The Road
by Jason Armstrong
What words have I to speak?
Emotion seems to know its way through my heart
My only boast is this confusion
As feelings fail me yet portray pain as art
A question of what’s real and unreal
Endless inquiries are arising and abounding
To where will my decisions lead me?
Does common sense move to the beat of my heart pounding?
I’m in need of a fork in the road
A bold marker to lead me stage to stage
I need a voice to lead me in the darkness
And to keep me whole in this wicked age
The One who has been true since the days of old
The Savior of souls whom the prophets foretold
Rise up and lead me onward
As I move beyond the fork in the road
