StarScream
by Patrick O'Leary, Toledo OH
-The Star
Across many sulking streams, 'tis a light
He'll show his shape in the wondrous night
Will he be able to site
His only way to his, hindsight
O, will he show
His haunting glow
Or will be be out to stoll
In the night, like a prophetless fool
-The Scream
Wander as he wonders
She'll go over yonder
Pillage and plunder
Just what we might call a heart
O, so the heart might go on, it's just pressed as a, tart
Disheartened, O will he find a place?
A solitary space, so he can pace
His pepperbox thoughts
Will soon be sought
After
Ever after
Might go on?
Might he have gone
To fulfill his dream of riddled bullet holes
Stained in this night, will he walk on his soles?
Or has his soul
Been confined
And refined
To a simple mind
Complexity stands close, waiting to be unwound
So it can be found out
At dawn he slept
But instead, he wept
