Piercing Sparking Blue
by Jason Armstrong, Mt. Pleasant MI
The scales fall from my eyes and I realize
Looking at a new world high within Your sky
Seeing it all through the looking glass yet
It’s not difficult to imagine it as something to last
Your world is such a beautiful blue
A new remembrance of Your payment for our due
I’m seeing darkness overcome unwilling
Yet I fail to crumble in travailing
Working against myself I come to know
Prayer offered in faith requires patience to sow
All I know outside of You is so
So calloused it’s filling me whole
(I need to give You control)
(I need to see what is mine…)
The desire remains to see latter times
Flame of my heart burning right on Your line
Yet I’ve never known nights without sleep
And when I cried I was so discreet
I require a death unto myself
I require a transformation true to You
I require a renewing so through and through
I’d come to see Your piercing sparkling blue
(I will see)
The sky conveying such a brightness today
I see Your face shining in everything
All the clouds hidden (all drowned out)
By a beautiful piercing sparkling blue
Converting my heart to an open window
Everything can be shown
An easier access for the sower to sow
And to make everything known
